Vintage Sheet Swap

Mary Emmens is setting up a Vintage Sheet swap, in January 2013, for FQ's of retro sheets.  Earlier this month Mary found this sheet below and she thought it was the "wackiest sheet" she had ever seen and wanted to hear from anyone who had one as a child........mine was a bit brighter,,,,,

Vintage sheet - pixes, tortoise, mushrooms
This is my one - though the background looks blue it is actually a deep purple colour. I still love it now.

My 1970's hippy quilt cover - not for the swap as I still love it!

I'm now searching the charity shops for some more sheets, I have until January to find some.  I have this one, but I'm not sure how old it is, or if it is suitable. This is the front and back of the pillow case, so that you can get an idea of the scale.
Pillow case to give an idea of size. FRONT Pillow case
.......and just for fun, this is my old pillow case. Tiswas - I watched sometimes, but I was more of a Swap Shop and "Why Don't You" girl.
Tiswas 1980's pillow case.

  1. I was always Swap Shop too - just as I was Blue Peter and not Magpie! We all had those sheets - why didn't we keep them?

  2. Wow that IS awesome! Much prefer it over my pastel one.
Has the pillowcase got a label? You can usually tell quite a bit from that, let me know...

  3. Oh wow Swap Shop and 'Why Don't You' takes me back :) I saw a version of my childhood bedding for sale in an online VINTAGE shop - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! I bet my mum still has mine somewhere.
